I searched Michigan for 5 years trying to find some lady-slippers in bloom. I couldn't believe it when is discovered this group of beautiful Showy Lady-Slippers in northern Michigan. Lady-Slippers are a rare wild Orchid that are protected. This species is also the State Flower of Minnesota. Pine Trees made up the dark background and the morning sun cast light on the flowers and foliage.
