Sept 2017, Skógar, Iceland: The day was exceptionally clear and the Kp forecast promised a great show of the Aurora Borealis. Buoyed by the numbers, I waited in the cold night for the lights, but the clouds filled in quickly enough to throw a dampener on the excitement. All of a sudden, the cloudy sky surged with a green current that lit up the dark. And then, the anticipation paid off with an intense dance of the lights above the clouds. And what a show it was!
