Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on one of Florence's many bridges. It's a wonderful throwback to some of my travels through Italy.

Time

After a wonderful day of exploring, it finally came time for sunset. My absolute favorite time of the day, and one of my best pictures to date of a sunset.

Lighting

Lighting used was just the good ole sun as it was setting.

Equipment

I shot this on a Nikon D3300. Besides a tripod to keep the camera steady, I used a uv protecting lens attachment to keep the camera nice and safe from any sun damage. As well as a slightly tinted lens attachment to subtly enchance the shadows of the buildings.

Inspiration

The intense warm colors radiating from this sunset and the way it was reflecting on the water were what drew me to stop for this shot.

Editing

Thanks to the two small screw on lens attachments I didn't need to do any post-processing.

In my camera bag

Besides my Nikon D3300. I usually pack two different lenses and my tripod. Keep it simple and light so I can travel around more with my gear.

Feedback

Besides taking a lot of pictures, I definitely recommend playing around with your settings. Don't be afraid to you with your aperture or shutter speed or other settings. It's all about having fun and taking pictures!
