This was taken on a hike in the mountains of the Okanagon on a cloudy cool winter dayTime
It was early morning , just before a snow storm hit hard and the lighting was soft and darkLighting
The sky was a huge defusser , so not much on the lighting end, just dark and coolEquipment
I shoot nikon, and believe this was with the 200-500 on a d500Inspiration
I love when all animals and coyotes are ready to pounce on there prey, and Also being very lucky to be there when he was huntingEditing
This shot was taken about a 1/4 mile away so a good crop With all the new topaz plug ins I have today I could have cleaned up the image a little better, but through it all a noisey picture is better that not getting it at alLIn my camera bag
I usually carry 2 camera bodies, a fax and a Dx, and mirrorless today I carry 2 wildlife lenses, a 300 and a 500 both primes When wildlife is quiet I carry a 200mm macro lens and a 24-70 lens for landscapeFeedback
Honestly its lots of luck to be there durning there hunt, as all animals do not hang around when they see people I sit lots under como cover waiting for shots like this, and its a blessing when you can get one like this
