Location
The photo was taking right under the Huntington Beach pier.Time
Around 2-4 in the afternoon. I remember taking a quick little trip out to the beach to grab some lunch and stroll around.Lighting
The warm reflected light from the water and the sand onto the pier is what made this image for me.Equipment
I used my canon EOS 80d and an EF-S55-250mm kit lense.Inspiration
I honestly was just in the right place at the right time. Just seeing that shot in the moment and taking it right there.Editing
I used light room. Looking back at this edit there are many things I would do different, I think I went a bit to far with the contrast haha.In my camera bag
I usually carry an EF 18-55mm lense, EF 55-250mm lense and a 2.8/14mm wide angle lense. I also usually have a tripod on hand just in case; as well as a polarizer and UV filter.Feedback
Go out and look for good opportunities to capture something you’d like. As long as you understand composition and stay vigilant, you can capture most anything you have in your head.
