Location
Outside the historical old center of a maritim town in the north of Sardinia, Porto Torres. Since roman times, its destiny was deeply tied and related to the sea. Nowadays, with a dramatic flash-forward, the port moved outside the central area, the chemical factories closes due to the economical crisis and the city has one of highest regional unemployment rate. What does it remain? A wall, a building (a former small warehouse just in front of the old port); a metaphor of ages and of the times.Time
Late afternoon: the building is south exposed, and the shadows were long.Lighting
High contrast and a reddish sunset light has been used to empathize the "sunny" environment feature of a southern Mediterrean port.Equipment
Canon EOS 100dInspiration
The local context: its silence, its abandonment and its general "stable" atmosphere.Editing
Just a small cropping. In my camera bag
Camera, tripod, 18-55 lens... and a paper notebook. For writing and note datas, times, place. Photography is about emotion.Feedback
Patience. The moment is over there. Beyond, there's an emotion that can be captured by the photography.
