Behind The Lens
Location
I took this photo in a field, just half a mile away from my house. Where wild crops were all dried up, creating such an amazing background.Time
It was the golden hour of a winter eve.Lighting
This was shot in natural light. I made her sit facing away from the sun. This gave me the effect of the subject being backlit, highlighting her hair.Equipment
This was shot on Nikon D3300, with a 70-300mm F/5.6-6.5 lens. That's it!Inspiration
I was looking for a place to shoot a dreamy portrait. Noticed this field at morning on my way to camera rental store, planned to shoot it at golden hour, same evening as I was going to rent 70-300mm lens for a shoot.Editing
Basic colour correction and tuning. Specially, kept the contrast low to achieve this look.In my camera bag
The only camera and lens in my bag is Nikon D3300 with 18-55mm lens. Because that's the only body and lens I own. But this also gives me the freedom to keep my tripod always with me. So the ND filter also stays.Feedback
Do not shoot in harsh light. Particularly, golden hour is the best time to shoot such portraits. Keep the contrasts low. Go for monotone look or colour contrast but do not include more than two colours.
