Last year we had a tree that fell across the street. They tree company came to finish cutting it off down lower. We figured out why the tree broke... The tree had grown over top of a water shutoff valve. The valve broke loose and the tree was soaking up all that extra water into itself. When they cut it closer to the ground, this little water fountain started bubbling up out of the tree.
