I took this photo in Venice. A lot of stores had cats who were usually in the windows. This little girl wanted her photo taken with the cat.Time
This was taken late morning on Sunday so it was quiet.Lighting
Venice has plenty of alleyways and this shop was at the end of a small opening that was turning the corner along a canal. The buildings across the way blocked the bright light but it was still bright enough but soft at the same time.Equipment

I love animals and took other photos of cats in store windows or dogs being walked. Even Venice allows endless opportunities for the everyday and seemingly mundane. This was special because of the child and reflection it created.Editing

While traveling it's nice to get the classic shots so you and others will know where you are - the Rialto Bridge or St. Marks Square in Venice. But there is so much to see, a lion head door knocker, a close up of a detail of a famous painting, a cat in a store window. I try to notice everything.
