This is one of three manufactured in 1931. It belonged to a German doctor who drove his beloved super car of that period out of Germany at the beginning of World War II. He made it to a safe shipping port where he and the car traveled to the USA. He eventually settled in New York City. When the first winter set in there was no antifreeze available the sad truth was the engine froze cracking the engine block. After a time it was placed in storage until the head of General Motors sought out and found the car. He purchased it and restored it. Now it resides at The Henry Ford in Detroit. The engine is a straight 8 cylinder, 2 sparkplugs per cylinders and 4 carburetors. The cars wheels are 24" inches with 36" tall tires. This car is as long as a school bus. It is a 2 seater only and you can see the very large steering wheel thru the side window.
