This photo was taken in Brecon Beacon National Park in South Wales. This is a wonderful place to visit, though I my home is about an hour drive, I have been visiting this beautiful and quiet park for at least 10 times over 2 years.Time
This is probably one of the photo I like the most. On the day, when I walked to the hill top of the little mountain, it is during the late afternoon. I was so amazed by the stunning view of the field, the cloud was colorful and the sheep! I noticed 2 of the sheep are standing at the end of the mountain and looks like they are so much enjoying the mountain view also. I stayed there for at least 2-3 minutes without moving around, but their heads are turning left and right and I could really feel that they are doing something exactly like myself and my wife: drunk by the stunning view around us! Only after a minute or so, I started to realize that I should take a photo for them! And this is the moment......Lighting
I was originally at the right side of the sheep, and the sun was at the back side of myself. In order to get a better view of the overall mountain, green field, cloud and the sheep, I moved quietly to the back of the sheeps, so that I can get all these into my picture. Looking at the far end of the mountain, there is a bright light spot of sunlight passing through the cloud, this made the whole scene much more interesting, and this last only few seconds...Equipment
This was shot with a Nikon D5500, with 18-140mm lense at 45mm zoom, ISO200, F/5.0, 1/100s.Inspiration
I enjoy the beautiful nature of the park, as I have been here many time and initially I did not really expected to take photos though I did bring along my camera with me. However, it was such a wonderful moment that made me feel that I need to record down this moment and share with the world, especially I would like to share with everyone that not just human love the beauty of the world, our colleague animals are doing exactly same thing as us, they also know how to enjoy the beauty of the world.Editing
I don't really need to do anything post-processing for this particular photo, as I think it is natural and it is just perfect enough. In my camera bag
Normally I have my iphone 6s in my pocket, and it does most of the job for me. But when I travel or visit some nice places, I would still like to bring along my Nikon D5500 with me, as it is much powerful. Though I have recently upgraded to Canon 6D Mark II, It is much heavier.Feedback
Choose one good and sunny day to visit the Brecon Beacon mountain, you will feel how amazing it is there. Bring along a camera, enjoy the scene and if you see something great, just take the photo. Great if you could stay there for a few hours, especially in the late afternoon.
