In a walkabout around abandoned storage buildings on the farm on which I grew up, I stumbled upon this gate latch. It was made from a shoe of the horse I had. I'm not sure who came up with the idea, but it brought a smile. And yes, the gate has been moved so no one, including the cows, could step on it and injure a foot.
