Our area is known for its beautiful sunsets. A long-standing story, whether it's true or not, is that the National Geographic once claimed that our area had the most beautiful sunsets in the world. So, obviously, this photo was taken at sunset.Lighting
The lighting is 100% natural.Equipment
The camera, at the time, was a Nikon D3100. No other equipment was used.Inspiration
Our sunsets and our beaches are all the inspiration that I need to take photos of our lakefront.Editing

It depends on where I am and what I want to photograph, but I seldom leave the house with more than one lens e.g. wide angle for landscapes, telephoto for wildlife. With this particular photo, I used the kit lens. The only extra equipment that I always carry is a spare battery.Feedback
My only advice to other photographers, especially to those just starting, is to look all around when you take a photo. So many times, there will be another angle, another subject, another anything. Once satisfied, move on to the next stop.
