This is one of the images I took a few years ago, and without having to search through the meta data, I believe it was around 7-8 PMLighting
If my memory serves me right, it was a dark winter evening with only the lights surrounding the lighthouse, complemented by the moonlight through a slightly missed sky.Equipment
I presently use a Nikon D850, but I think I used my Nikon D7200 with a Tamron 16-309 lens. and a Manfrotto 190 tripod.Inspiration
I often walked the coastline at Seaham, but on this evening it was particularly quiet with a cold chill. The sea quietly whispered as it rolled the pebbles upon the shoreline and the moonlight shone defused through an eerie mist... I just had to try and capture the mood.Editing

Sometimes the opportunity to take this sort of image just jumps at you when you least expect it, but as a photographer, one should never leave anything in you bag behind, because when the the occasion arises, you can bet your bottom dollar the equipment you left at home, is exactly what you needed! My motto has always been “It’s better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it!”. In general, if you want to capture a similar image (or any other image), you must relax and Plan, Plan, and Plan again, before taking your time to take the final shot.
