I was experimenting with the night time setting on my camera while returning home from a winter road trip when I shot this. Although it was only five pm, the sun had long set in Interior Alaska when I took this through the open passenger window of my husband's pickup. The streaks through the photo are the result of heavy snow that was falling, while the grainy effect is caused by the high ISO setting and the movement of the vehicle. The resulting image reminds me of a charcoal drawing. It would be well suited to metal prints or metallic paper.
