Behind The Lens

Location

I took this while I was in Paris for the first time back in 2017.

Time

It was right after the sun went down. My friends and I watched the lights for awhile before heading back to the hotel.

Lighting

I wanted the lights on the Eiffel Tower to really pop. It took a couple of tries, but I finally got the effect that I wanted

Equipment

I actually used my phone. At the time, I had an iPhone 5s. I’ll switch back and worth between my camera and my phone if one doesn’t really do what I’m looking for then I’ll try the other.

Inspiration

The lights are what’s really behind this picture. My pictures you see of the Eiffel Tower light up are gorgeous, but the lights kinda blend together. I really wanted to get a picture where almost each light popped on it’s own to really show how pretty it was.

Editing

This picture is what it is. I didn’t have to make any adjustments to it whatsoever

In my camera bag

I usually have my Canon rebel (I have one of the first digital editions) with 2 lenses and my phone.

Feedback

Play around with what you have and keep shooting. I took about 20 pictures, at least, before I got the shot that I was looking for.
