The Spider That Got Away

Owen's Rose Garden, Eugene, OR was the location. I managed to get three shots of the action. First, the House Wren must have been surprised by the sudden appearance of the spider eye to eye as he hesitated in taking a bite in that direction. This gave the spider time to backtrack across the leaf and dive off out of the birds sight. That was captured in the second shot. Then the bird went around the leaf a couple of times looking for it.
