Location
I took this picture during a night school in the context of 'food photography'Time
The time of day isn't realy relevant for shooting this picture. It's taken in a dark photostudio.Lighting
There was only one light necessary to take this picture namely a flashlight with snoot. It was positioned in the back corner to the right.Equipment
I use a camera Canon 80D with a Tamron 16-300mm at 48mm, a tripot and a flashlight with snoot as lighting.Inspiration
The assignment for my night school was food photography. I didn't want to take the standard 'plate with food' picture, so I was looking for something else. So I started to search for idea's on the web. There I saw an apple peel curl and that triggerd my thoughts. The night after, when I was making dinner, I was peeling potatoes and my mind just started to create the idea of the potato curl and it's evolution from potato to chips.Editing
I processed the picture through lighroom and put a ray on the right corner with the nik-collection.In my camera bag
I always have my Canon 80d in my bag together with my Tamron 24-70mm and als a back-up lens I use a Tamron 16-300mm. I also don't leave the house without a speedlight and some back-up batteries and memory cards.Feedback
As a tip, I would advice to use fresh food and big potatoes.
