The very odd (for many reasons) Black Skimmer. Note lower bill is longer than upper bill and the somewhat detached lower bill from the body. This allows the bird to skim the water to scoop up fish and other food. See photo in my Gallery of the Black Skimmer in action. Photo was taken on Siesta Key beach.
