Location
Taken in San Marco Square facing toward the Grand Canal in Venice Italy.Time
Taken at 9:36PM just after a rain shower.Lighting
Natural evening lighting with overcast and cloudsEquipment
Canon 6D, EF16-35mm f/2.8L II USM, Manfrotto tripod, shutter release. 22mm, ISO 400, 0.8 sec, f/11Inspiration
After a rain shower cleared the Square of 95% of the tourists seeing the lights reflecting off the shiny water covered walkway with the glow of the lights on the archways of the buildings, I just couldn't pass it up. Spent about an hour waiting for the right conditions to setup shot with the least amount of people being in the forefront of the shot.Editing
Increased Temp and exposure, removed some sensor dust, increased clarity and vibrance by +25 each and cropped. In my camera bag
Currently have Canons 6D, 7D Mark II & EOS R. Trigger Release, Manfrotto tripod, batteries, 128gb SD cards, various ND/Graduated & polarizing filer, Cleaning cloth & blower brush. Canon EF 24-70mm, EF400mm EF100mm, & Sigma 70-20mm LensesFeedback
Tripod and long exposure allows you to blur the people walking thru your scene as well as allowing a higher f11 and up to give the star effect to the lights coming for the lamps. Will also give you wispy clouds if they are moving enough.
