Firestorm Over the Rockies

The Cold Springs Fire destroyed hundreds of acres of land, burned five homes and created huge clouds of smoke over the Rocky Mountains and the Front Range of Colorado in June of 2016. Two men were arrested for arson leading to the fire which had also caused the evacuation of more than 2,000 residents from the mountain town of Nederland, Colorado. Captured this approaching sunset over Boyd Lake in Loveland, Colorado as the low evening clouds mixed with the ash from the fires 50 miles away.
