Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my back yard, when I was attempting to grow my own eatable garnishes, I'm an amateur photographer so I spend some of my time learning amongst my own surroundings.

Time

This was a magical morning, it was about 10.30am when had gone out to my eatable garnish patch to check in their progress and to my surprise there it was this beautiful tiny wee flower, I couldn't help but notice the vibrant purples.

Lighting

I didn't have to muck around with lighting as the sun was literally perfect. The way it was hitting all the little hairs and bouncing the purples off the green leaves.

Equipment

This image was shot with a Sony nex 5 and no other equipment was used during the process.

Inspiration

I had previously been learning about macro photography and at this point in time I just had a light bulb moment where I had to grab my camera and practice my new skill.

Editing

No post processing it's as raw as raw sugar

In my camera bag

At the moment I have my Sony next 5 and a trusty old 35mm on it. I normally carry my tripod, flash, and a variety of Lens's
