For over a decade I traveled to Kenya several times a year. Rarely did I make it far enough from Nairobi to see Maasai at home. I made myself take a weekend on trip and spent days driving and hiking around The Mara. One afternoon spent at a village, I spoke with the chief's eldest son about where he saw his life going in a modern age. It was difficult for him to want to hold onto his culture while the rest of the world sped by.
