Photographed as part of a conservation photography series, this Palau Nautilus was baited into a cage at 500' and brought to the surface for divers to enjoy, while the unfortunate creature slowly boils in the warm surface waters. This photo is being used to promote awareness and institute a Best Practices guideline to be adopted throughout Palau and the neighboring region in an effort to prevent needless fatalities such as this.
