Kirkwall, Orkney bachelor party!

We visited Kirkwall, capital of Orkney, largest island in the Orkney chain off the coast of Northern Scotland. Incredibly beautiful and full of history, the town was bustling with locals and tourists. All of a sudden, a ruckus of men with load voices came towards me from the end of the street. As they came close, at least ten young men were sitting in the open back of a truck. Shockingly, they were all covered in ‘blood’. Shouting out a beer-drinking song in Gaelic, they banged the sides of the truck with wooden clubs, having an uproarious time. A passer-by told me it was a bachelor party, with groom and his mates. Hilarious!
