On a drive through Fairbanks, Alaska, I spotted an attraction I never knew existed, and my curiosity was piqued. On a whim, I booked a dinner cruise for the family on the Sternwheeler Tanana Chief. The Tanana Chief boasts twin paddles at the stern. This shot from the upper deck was taken at the confluence of the Chena and Tanana Rivers. The Chena is marked by the blue water, while the gray, silty waters belong to the Tanana. It was well worth the investment of time and money. Great food and a memorable cruise on the Chena River!
