This photo was taken in forest close to Pilsen in Czech Republic. It's animal in human care.Time
Capture in June 17th 2017 at 12:19 pm. We had good lighting condition at that time, thanks to dense forest.Lighting
When I saw beauty background in ideal distance from fox, to create beautiful bookeh like painted picture, I little increased aperture and get this beatuiful reward.Equipment
I am using Nikon D3s + NIKON 400/2.8G AF-S VR IF EDInspiration
Usually I know just a little about animals I am going to capture. It's better to know safety distance, escape distance, common environment and then I am looking to see behavior of the animal and if I can expected something interesting. For animals in human care, I am planning a little bit more what I would like to capture and then trying to get animal to environment and position I am thinking about.Editing
This image has not so much postprocess, just better white ballance to remove to much green tint, little pop colors but not to much and sharpen fox a little to get better fur.In my camera bag
I am usually using Nikon D3s, Nikkor 400 / 2.8, Nikkor 300mm/4, Nikkor 24-70mm and sometimes related on plans and ideas also Macro Nikkor 60mm / 2.8, Macro Sigma 180mm / 3,5 , Nikkor 50mm and some polarization filter, ND filter, tripod only for night photos and timelapse, 3x flash lightsFeedback
When you want capture animals, try start with pets dogs and cats are ideal. Also animals in zoo is perfect for training. Know your camera so good, you can control them without giving them away from your eye. First do not try shoot, just watch, see what animals do, find right moments and lights and then wait, have a lot of patience and capture your dream photo. Usually you need to try many times and training a lot, but it's fun and you will enjoy your progress and time with animals.
