Location
This photo was taken at my home in the country, in Northern Illinois. We live on 15 acres of beautiful rolling hills. This also happens to be where my studio is. It is located in our barn!Time
The skies were so blue this summer day. It was one of those perfect mid afternoon days with perfect temperatures and just the right amount of wind out of the east.Lighting
The lighting was perfect. Just as it is shown. You could say it was a picture perfect day!Equipment
This photo was taken with my Nikon D610 without a flash or a tripod.Inspiration
I was taking a walk like I do every afternoon with my dog Panda. I basically follow her little wiggly but wherever it takes her. This particular day she decided she wanted to visit the cows in the pasture so off we went. When I looked up half way up the hill I just thought what a perfect summer day it was and wanted to capture the moment. Funny thing about this picture is that there were two cows next to the center tree in the original pic.Editing
As I was going through the pictures I took that day I stopped when I came across this one. I just stared and thought that is was perfect and that I didn't need to edit it in any way. But, as I was staring at it I thought about a mirror image. So I uploaded it to my software and with one or two clicks I had a very surreal and beautiful image! In my camera bag
I normally only carry my camera of choice for the day and I decide on which lens before I take off.Feedback
Just take a walk in a familiar or unfamiliar place and look all around you for unexpected surprises. Sometimes the simplest thing can become absolutely amazing by itself or with editing in mind!
