Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Harbor Park in Middletown, CT on a beautiful fall day.

Time

I took this photo early afternoon.

Lighting

I hoping to capture the architecture of both the Pavillion and the gorgeous bridge in the background. I had to kneel down but the shot was achieved!

Equipment

Canon mark II 7d with a Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS II Image Stabilizer Telephoto Zoom Lens

Inspiration

I was looking around the park for interesting shots. This was a challenge fitting it all in and still making it look okay

Editing

Not too much post processing. I used Adobe Lightroom and clarified, and increased the colors that were lost.

In my camera bag

I typically take my mark II with just 2 lenses and back up batteries. I do use lens filters on occasion. But at the time of this shooting I did not have them.

Feedback

I think the timing had a lot to do with this shot. Early afternoon on a clear, still day in fall for color...
