This should be in the running as it most definitely meets the interesting people criteria. Such a strong visual story here. Surpasses most of the images I have viewed in this competition. Nice work!

Location
Cuba is a very colorful country. One can see a vast number of interesting subjects on the streets. But it was interesting for me to see how Cubans live, what kind of daily life they have in their houses and apartments. Therefore, when I took a walk along the streets of Havana or other cities which I happened to visit, I tried to come over to unknown people, using every opportunity. This resulted in a series of photographs that can be called "Housing Problem". As a rule, the inhabitants of Havana live in colonial buildings with high narrow windows. The area of a standard colonial room is not more than 30 square meters. The great majority live in a overcrowded conditions. In accordance with the law each family is allowed to have only one room. The standard of living in Cuba today keeps low, but this does not prevent the native persons from being happy. The life of people flows smoothly, steadily and unhurriedly. I managed to create a series of photos about Cubans with different living standards and incomes, taken in the interiors of their homes. All these people have one thing in common - the ability to enjoy life here and now. Smiles, laughter, witty jokes - all this is at genetic level of the islanders. And maybe that's the reason why Cuba is a real island of long-livers with an indicator of 79 years. This photo is from my large series "Housing Problem".Time
My friend and I walked the streets of Havana during the day. A colorful local resident appeared on our way. We stopped, and without knowing the language managed to find out that he lives nearby. Asked to visit him.Lighting
The lighting in the apartment was not very good, but the camera coped with its tasks.Equipment
At that moment, I was shooting handheld without a tripod on a Canon EOS 5D Mark III, lens Canon EF 16-35mm f / 2.8L II USMInspiration
The colorful appearance of the person made us stop and start communicating with him, despite the fact that there was a language barrier in front of us.Editing
Of course, I had to do the processing of the photo. Due to the light conditions, the photo quality was not the best. Not everything worked out right away, I started processing from scratch several times, but I managed to achieve the desired result. In my camera bag
Now I have a Canon EOS 5D Mark IV camera, the main lenses are: EF 16-35mm f / 2.8L III USM, EF 70-200mm f / 2.8L IS II USM, Canon EF 85 mm f / 1.8 USM. The first two lenses I need for street photography. I use lenses 1 and 3 indoors. There are also Canon EF 24-105mm f / 4L IS II USM and Tamron SP 150-600mm f / 5-6.3, which I use much less often.Feedback
Many amateurs are afraid to shoot people on the street. You can do this discreetly using a telephoto lens. And you need to learn to always smile and be friendly when shooting in close proximity.
