A young Hindu lady taking part in the sacred ceremony of Havan, where grain is offered to the sacred fire. The god of fire, Agni, consumes the grain and takes the prayer of the worshippers to the gods. The picture was taken in the early 1990s on film using an Olympus OM4ti with a Tamron SP Adaptall 2 35-80mm f2.8 lens. The image was digitised using a Canoscan 2700F. A colour version of this image was used as the cover for a book about "Hinduism".
