Tonight I'm returning back to my beloved Italy, with an hidden gem that you can find in the heart of the Dolomites: the Federa Lake, near Cortina, is without any doubt one of the places to be if you're in the area during fall!
The lake is sorrounded by beautiful larches, that in this period of the year they turn yellow-red; if you're lucky enough, you'll get to see their perfect reflection in the crystal clear waters of the lake!
To arrive there on time for sunrise I put the alarm at 4.00 A.M. and with the total darkness and a creepy silence I started the hike; after a two-hours nice walk with tremendous panoramas (I found out that later when I was returning back with the sunlight ????) I managed to arrive there on time for the very first lights of the day; while I was "enjoying" my breakfast with some Kinder Brioss and Coca Cola (the only things that I could put in my backpack) on a rock in the middle of the lake, I tried a few shots.. This is one of them! Hope you're gonna like it guys!
