Behind The Lens

Location

Photo was taken whilst on walkabout in my local town near the river.

Time

The photo was taken at around 2pm in the afternoon.

Lighting

The day was bright but overcast.

Equipment

Nikon D3100 no flash but with 55-200mm lens.

Inspiration

The pigeons were flocking around and sitting on the railings alongside the river, so took the opportunity to get close up for a range of photos. I have another on my profile taken at the same time.

Editing

No post processing was used.

In my camera bag

Was Nikon D3100 now D5300 with stock Nikon 18-55mm, Nikon VRII 55-200mm and 70-300mm Sigma.

Feedback

Have your camera ready. I work posting in Aperture priority so I can set a decent depth of field for the subject. Be patient and move slowly especially where birds and animals are concerned. Do not use flash as this will spook them.
