Original in color. Rainy, stormy day with a short break and the sunlight streaming through to illuminate the fir trees in the foreground. Converted to B&W image using Canon's DPP software. Boosted contrast and sharpness a few notches as well. Picture taken on the old fire lookout jeep access trail up Silver Star Mountain in the Cascade range in southwest Washington state (near Battleground and Hockinson, Washington). About an hour north (and a little east) of Portland, Oregon.
