While traveling across Europe I participated in a ski expedition in the French Alps. At this breathtakingly high altitude (3456 meters - 11339 feet), the air is less tight, less heavy. Time seems to stop completely for a while. Everything else around you seems to fade away into the endless, immaculate white landscape. What a peaceful moment.
