Behind The Lens

Location

At the model's house, in a room with a large window.

Time

It was spring, in the afternoon, or rather late afternoon...

Lighting

The light is the natural light that came from the window on the subject and the rest of the room completely in the shade. The angle of the shot from below, in slight backlight ...

Equipment

Hasselblad 500CM with normal lens, without a tripod. 6x6 film, Kodak.

Inspiration

Inspiration? Light and location. A sensual young woman and the desire to play with the sensations looking for a shot a bit 'different than usual.

Editing

The shot was made on color film, then scanned 1: 1 with an Epson flatbed scanner to create a TIFF file directly in black and white. The post-production covered only the minimum amount of adjustments that I considered necessary to balance the image.

In my camera bag

At the beginning, a long time ago, I took my nikon F3 with a Nikkor 24mm, a Nikkor 105mm and a Nikkor 80-200mm ... now I use a Nikon D700 with a Nikkor 24-70mm and the old Nikkor 80-200mm. For portraits the Nikkor 85mm. The one that I have always in my pocket an Olympus OM-D ...
