Behind The Lens

Location

My photo was taken at Nokomis beach at the southern end of Casey Key on the gulf cost of Florida while on holiday there. Where I live in southern Ontario I am not situated to see the sun go down over the water. The gulf coast provides some of the most spectacular sunsets from its many beautiful beaches. So captivating! I am a self-taught photographer and particularly like nature and landscape shots.

My Canon PowerShot camera serves me well when travelling.

Inspiration

It was nearing the end of my holiday and I just couldn't get enough of sunsets. This one was a gift to remember my time there.

Editing

Minor exposure adjustment and cropping for balance.

In my camera bag

Just my Canon PowerShot, extra battery and spare memory card.

Feedback

Cloudscapes enhance colour and composition with sunsets, not to mention dramatic colour contrast as the sun hits the horizon.
