Location
The shot was taken at the front yard of my house in Saint-Petersburg. I believe that you can take a nice shot at any place of the planet if you have good light and imagination.Time
The time was around 2 pm.Lighting
The lighting was natural, shot was taken under the sun hiding behind the clounds. However the sun was under the couds, the light was strong.It was quite difficult for model to look staright at the sun.Equipment
I took a shot with Canon 650D camera with lens Canon 18-55mm.Inspiration
Nature and living creatures always inspire me to do photography. I wish I could take this shot with real butterflies so it would look more natural. But I believe you can always make a good shot and get inspired with the simple things that you have in your closet. This time I had 3D plastic butterflies from my previous shooting and I decided to use it covering face, hands and sholders of the model. The natural beauty of the model in addition with butterflies made the shotvery simple and beautiful at the same time.Editing
I added the contrast on the picture first to make freckles and skin of the model look brighter. After that I added some coloring in blue-yellow colors using Curves, and some Red color using Selective color in Adobe Photoshop to add romantic mood on the picture.In my camera bag
Usually I have 2 or 3 lenses with me. The first one is Canon 18-55mm wich helped me to male this shot. Another one is old manual Helios 44M-4 which helps me do outstanding portraits with beautiful soft bokeh. Often I have couple of vintage dresses with me for the shootings, some make up products to create inspiring character for my pictures.Feedback
One of the most important things for me in planning photo shooting is choosing a model. Model is a leading person in photoshoot. I'm looking for young people with personality, those who have something to share with the world. You can create a simple image to show the natural beauty of the model. The simplier it is, the more attention the viewer pays to the natural beauty of the model.
