Location
This photo was taken at Selsey Bill on the South Coast of Uk West Sussex County. I was helping out a local school as they needed an outdoor leader to accompany them so their Geography students could complete one of their assessments towards their GCSE This was taken last year.Time
Photo was taken at lunch time so was about 12.30 pm.Lighting
It’s was a beautiful sunny day and no clouds in sight so the light is just natural as at that time I didn’t realise you could alter light and contrast etcEquipment
I was using my iPhone 6s and my newly purchased magnetic lenses for iPhone which included a macro, wide angle and fish eye lens. I used the macro lens to take this photograph and was able to position myself so my shadow did not compromise the capture. I was just wanting to try out what I had brought to see what I could do and was very happy with the result.Inspiration
I saw these little seeded dandelions on the walk round Selsey Bill and they looked so pretty so out came my macro lens to see how deeper I could capture was basically just experimenting.Editing
I am quite sure I did not do any thing with this photo as this is one of the first pictures I put up on viewbug and I didn’t realise you could. In my camera bag
I literally just have my phone and my little bag of lenses. Occasionally I am able to borrow a camera if I’m going anywhere exciting but sometime having an amazing camera lent to me does not always work and I have ruined so many photographs by not understanding camera settings ... when I went to Africa I actually took better photographs on my phone than I did with a camera worth over £800 :0( ...... (I am hoping to buy a digital camera that’s not too complicated to use but still take great photos and go on a day course to learn) ... then that will be in my bag too :0)Feedback
If using your phone with a macro lens I would take several and choose your best (I often get the camera shake.... or should I say phone) when tying capture. I would also learn more about what your iPhone can do I am still learning since taking photos with it and the best one for me was recently actually discovering that you can turn your live phones into long exposure and water is amazing. Experiment and have fun and take photographs of what you love and see keep them natural or experiment with light colours exposure and turn them into something else.. I am loving taking photos on my phone and loving viewbug to see all the amazing photography all over the world which is so inspiring seeing from so so so many talented people. Photography is infectious! ....Most importantly have fun capturing... Enjoy :0)
