With my dad in the final days of his battle with cancer, my family made the two hour trip to be by his side. As I thought about my hero suffering, I began to cry. That’s when my own son reached over, took my hand and said, “It’s ok to be sad, daddy”. At that moment, I remembered that I wasn’t going through that journey alone and no mattered what happened, my family and I would face it together.

Thank you very much. I’m a firm believer that every life has a story, and we could all learn a lot from each other if we were willing to open up and share. I may have a lot of scars, but I’m proud of every one of them!
