This sunset photo was taken from the rooftop swimming pool area of our hotel whilst we were away on holiday in TenerifeTime
One of my favourite sunset photos, such a strong orange glow to the colour just had to find the best place to capture the shot so I went up to the rooftop swimming pool of our hotel, the view of the sea and horizon was just the effect i wanted the time was about 7pm. Just love the silhouette of the palm trees, I'm very pleased with the capture of the photo as I'm still learning how to use my camera.Lighting
I waited for the right moment to get the best lighting to capture the content , sea, palm trees, and the warm glow of the sun going down.Equipment
I was using my new to me Canon 700D on the AV mode, ISO 100, Shutter speed 1/1600 and just looking around for the best vantage point to capture the image.Inspiration
The strong colour of the sunset on that evening inspired me to take this photo and of course getting to the right height to capture the content of the photo had to be achieved, have to say i'm pleased with the result.Editing
The only post - processing i used was clarity, just to enhance the sharpness as i was happy with the colour and the rest of the content of the image. In my camera bag
My camera a Canon 700D, and an alternative 75-300 lens plus a spare battery. I'm still a novice at this and hope to expand on my equipment as I gain more knowledgeFeedback
The best advice I can give anyone when you see a sunset like this is to find the best vantage point to take your photo being high enough to capture the horizon and be patient, wait as long as you dare to get the best colour from the fading sun
