Behind The Lens

Location

This shot was take at Woodbridge studios in Camberley. A lovely house just outside the main town.

Time

Taken around midday. There was a sky light over the hallway and some really nice L.E.D lights in the wall feature behind the model, you can see in the reflection.

Lighting

It was natural light coming from the sky light with a reflector to the model's left, and the blue L.E.D's within the wall behind the model.

Equipment

I used my Canon 6d with the 24-70mm f2.8 lens.

Inspiration

I had an hour with the model that day, and just on the fly looking around the house, the mirror was there and with the lights within the wall created a nice depth and good colour. The model was great and relaxed, and we came out with a number of good shots and this was one of them.

Editing

Yes, I use Photoshop with my main plug-in, a now defunct Nik Collection which had a really nice skin softner. I believe DxO photolab have bought the collection and will be bringing it out in the Summer (I heard, might be true, could be rubbish!) we'll see.

In my camera bag

I have my trusty Canon 6d camera with a 24-70mm f2.8 lens, a Tamron 70-200mm lens and a canon 50mm lens. Two flash lights and the little accessories.

Feedback

Just keep snapping! take notes and use your imagination!! And have fun!!
