I took this photo at Paul's Studio in Reading England on a model day. I happened to have some time so went over for a couple of hours and had a lot of fun!Time
It was around midday but it doesn't have any bearing on the photo.Lighting
I believe I had one light with soft box to the right (main) and one above set low.Equipment
I used my Canon 6D with an EF28-70mm f2.8 lens synced to the studio lights.Inspiration
I wanted to build up my confidence working with different models, I had seen this model on various modelling sites (Miss Pixie), very talented I'll add! and with her experience I through a few ideas and scenarios her way, together we came out with some great shots of which this was one! For this shot we had the blinds in the background instead of just a plain bland look. In the studio the light stand was minding it's own business in the corner and the idea was just simply based on a singer with a microphone stand striking those rock'n'roll poses!Editing
Yep, post-processing went through Photoshop with the Nik collection software plug-ins Silver Efex Pro 2 and Colour Efex Pro 2.In my camera bag
With me is my Canon 6D, Canon EF28-70mm f2.8 lens, Tamron 70-200mm f2.8 lens and a Canon EF 50mm lensFeedback
Main advice would be don't be affraid to try your ideas out, no matter how silly they may sound or seem. Trial and error, and use your imagination!!
