"It's so damn cold, I can't feel my hands.. let's find a place to stay" my friend said while riding the bike 8:00 in the night. After some minutes we saw the light of fire and some people around it surviving the freezing cold. They were the workers of Electrical Towers around there and told us that there's a small village near if we want to pitch our tent. We started our bikes and left for that small village after warming our hands on the fire for some time.
Later we found the village and a place to pitch our tent near to a house. After hearing the sound of 'bullet' some locals came and helped us to set our tent. My friends went to sleep early coz of the freezing cold. I just roamed around with my camera and tripod to take the photos of beautiful night sky with a million stars.
Couple of minutes later my hands started to freeze so I returned back to the tent. My friends were wearing everything they've got when I was entering to the tent. "sleeping bag won't help you, it's so damn cold, put on all the clothes and woolen garments" one of my friend explained me. That night we kept waking up 'coz of the cold. Even my Wildcraft sleeping bag which can cope with 5degree didn't helped me.
Somehow we made it to the morning. I saw a boy and asked him is there any way to charge my camera battery for sometime. He pointed a lady who was bringing water to home, she said there's no electricity from 6:00PM to 9:00AM. She figured out that we are getting cold so she invited us to the kitchen to get warm by the fire. Most of the people were so welcoming, can you imagine inviting some strangers to your kitchen ? I think people loves who travel more, there's something good in their heart, at least people believes that they won't harm you. She served tea for all of us. Later The boy came with a cute 7-9 month old baby completely wrapped in woolen garments. I still wonder how the baby surviving this cold. She was making noises and moving her small hands, we all played with her for sometime. We thanked the lady and left the house.
When we returned back to our tent, saw some kids playing around. We used to carry some sweets most of the time for the kids we meet along the way. We gave them all the sweets and they were all happy. At the same time some of the villagers and their kids were watching us through the windows. Later more kids came, they asked us for pen, so my friend went to the nearest shop to buy some sweets and pen.
I found this girl's eyes very attractive. She was so happy because she got sweets and pen. I asked her permission to take a picture of her and she was okay with that. I told her to cover her face with the hijab and took a photo.
Later from the villagers we knew that the place is known as Zero Point because that place is the coldest area around there and the temperature at night reaches to -12 degree . The other facts are they're all living in temporary settlements because they used to leave the village and move to nearest town during the winter season because of heavy snowfall. And the school remains closed during winter (Around 3,4 months).
The kids went back to their home to get ready for school and we started to pack our belongings. As we started our 'bullets' to leave the boy came back in school uniform with his bag. One of my friend gave him a ride to the school gate and waved his hands at him.
