Behind The Lens

Location

Photo was taken at Riverfront Park on the Ottawa River.

Time

Time of day was approx. noon on a beautiful summer day.

Lighting

Polarizing filter was used.

Equipment

Nikon D80. 28mm Nikkor wide angle lens

Inspiration

Aesthetically, your horizon line should not cut the photo in half but on certain occasions I think it's appropriate to break some rules.

Editing

The only post processing was getting the horizon line nice and horizontal.

In my camera bag

Nikon D700 plus a Nikon D90 as backup.Nikkor lenses, 28mm, 35mm, 70-210 zoom, 300mm macro zoom. Manfrotto tripod. Lots of filters for different effects, flash, lots of IPA cleaner, food and drink !

Feedback

Form the picture in your head first. Then go about capturing what is in your head onto the camera.
