Black headed Gull in winter plumage walking on ice which is below a small amount of water on a cold January day. The picture was taken at a boating lake on the edge of Cleethorpes in North-East Lincolnshire. The birds were finding it very difficult tu understand why they could not be in the water of the lake which was completely frozen.
