My mother is the little girl in the middle of this photo on Grans shop wall, Gran had 14 kids of her own, Nan & Mum have many stories of those war days in world war 2, Gran donated the steel fence for making weapons, many donated there pots and pans, look at the tape on the glass windows to stop them shattering when the bombs were dropped, they had underground bunkers to run to when the bombs were dropping, Nan worked as an electrician in the war and also a Nurse after the war. More stories to tell from this photo, many many more, such a treasure trove of days gone by in all these war time photos ☺
