The assisted living center that was home to my mom for many years has an annual Mardi Gras celebration including naming a King and Queen! Ms. Iris became a dear friend through the years of my visits and care for Mom. I love the joy and sweeness on both the King and the Queen's faces as they raise their glasses to toast their court.
