I've been playing a lot in recent shoots with using a combination of Pocket Wizard's hypersync feature with a low-power, portable strobe to reach editorial environmental effects at any location without the need for multiple generators and a full crew. This particular shot from last summer was done with a single Impact LiteTrek 4.0 in a 22" beauty dish and indirect sunlight for fill. Using a mini-TT1 and TT5 trigger combo, I was able to shoot syncronized at 1-2000 second, thus allowing the LiteTrek to easily overpower the bulk ambient light and deepen the environment.
