Several years ago, a local family hired contractors to put siding and a new metal roof on the Methodist Church. However, when the contractors reached the steeple, they were unsure how to proceed. The project was abandoned and the steeple has remained in disrepair ever since. There is almost a subliminal message with the STOP sign in front of the church.
